Finding Your Location
Finding the location of where you are going to map is the first step in creating a quality map in Everest GIS. There are a couple of ways to find your mapping location; first you could choose to use one of the helpful geo-locators. All of the geo-locator in Everest GIS are located in the Find Ribbon. The locators are designed to help you find your mapping location; you may spend up to 25% of your mapping time looking for beginning points! All the locators, except for the Address Locator, can add a layer to your map, helping you to build your base map, display location data, and improve aesthetics.
